Apartment Design For Apartment Living: The funny thing about apartment living is that most who live in apartments rent them.  You need to figure out a few things when renovating an apartment.  Are you willing to change every thing back to it’s original state?  If you aren’t is your landlord going to approve your changes or are you prepared to give up your security deposit?  How long are you planning on staying?    These questions must be asked, the answers will determine whether you paint or wallpaper your pad.  If you own, your own apartment, then it’s a no brainer!

I believe that you should paint and wallpaper your apartment to support your head of household.  Forget about whether you can afford to lose your security deposit.  Good feng shui can enhance your opportunity for more income, thus off setting any losses that you might have by taking the leap.

With this said this is only my opinion.  You might consider other avenues or alternatives to painting and wallpaper.  Pictures are worth a thousand words and can change the feng shui just as powerfully, as paint and wallpaper.  Just remember a picture can be misplaced, so consider the picture carefully.

If you choose to paint or wallpaper, choose tastefully.  Your landlord might even supply the paint or wallpaper for you.  Always choose a color scheme that is supportive to your head of household personal kua.  If your single that would be YOU!  If you’re married, this is the person who pays the bills.  If you are roommates, it is the most fun decorating challenge in feng shui.

Roommates need to paint or wallpaper their own personal spaces to their own personal kuas.  Shared spaces and public spaces should be either neutral or should be split based on the personal kua combination of the roommates.

This can be very tricky, so be careful.  In this case, you may want to use Flying Star Feng Shui and paint or wallpaper according to the flying star combinations, activating or neutralizing them.

However, Eight Mansions is very good to use for beginner’s.  It is simple and easy to implement.  Use the Universal color schemes for your public areas, if you are in a roommate situation. 

Your apartment should reflect and support your personal kua or head of household’s personal kua.  Whether you rent or not, it is your home!  You’ll spend at least fifty percent of your life in it, so make it support your life.  After all it is your sanctuary!
